My PC Build Summer 2017

Alright so im saving up my money and I'm hoping to build this PC by the end of summer 2017. I've been wanting to do this for around 2 years now but wasn't been able to get a job because I was too young. Now that I have a job and can get my own money I think the time is near. I've beein configuring this pc for a while. Trying to keep it under $2700, but if anyone knows how to cut money off this build while keeping it around the same performace level tips would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you REALLY need 2TBs of SSD space? I would go for 1TB SSD for OS/games and a 1-2TB HDD for mass storage. Saves you like $200-250

You might be better using wifi with a good wifi NIC in your PC over powerline. Your storage is overkill, SSD/HDD combo is way better. I sure hope you were going to overclock your CPU, otherwise you signifcantly overspending on it and the cooler. Because your getting that CPU cooler, you won't need all those case fans.

I plan on playing every game under the sun, and at 1440p-4k. I already have a pretty decent monitor that should last me until i can upgrade that but i don't want to talk about spending more money before I've spent alot of money, scary, it sends chills down my spine. I also plan to do school work, and various other things.

By the time you are going to be buying parts, newer ones are going to be out. Like Kaby lake, and the 1080 ti. Plus the 11 series of cards is going to be announced in august 2017. All wonderful things to look out for.

Yeah that's what you should really be doing. PC hardware moves fast. Wait until maybe a month before, then start planning. Who knows, you might have more money by then, or maybe not as much

I disagree with this entire thread...

If your planning on buying this in summer of 2017, you should start considering the components around that time.

We are still waiting on Kaby lake, AMD zen, DDR4 prices might fall, Nvidia prices will hopefully fall ( and we might have some new cards by then, likely the same generation but still new cards and more choice), NZXT's new CPU coolers are coming out along with Be Quiets! new CPU coolers, new cases...

Alot can change in a year. I don't think you should plan a year in advance for a build. For example, the I7 7700K will be released by the end of the year, and by next summer the price will be the same as the 6700k, but it's 15% faster with a higher clock speed. See what I mean?

Graphics Card: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080Ti OC

Case: Phanteks Evolv X
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i Platinum-Rated
