So my bedroom is always really dusty, in the air. Most of it might come from me having a runny nose so often, so I have lots of used tissues, yes I do throw them away. But almost everything that stays in my bedroom becomes really dusty, what do I look for in an air filter? I don't want to pay a fortune, but I understand if there is some price. It is so bad with my allergies if I stay in there for too long.

Yeah get an air filter.

I have a blueair 203 and it works great, but there are other ones that are cheaper too.

Just go look at some air filter reviews and see what's available where you live and what you can afford.

Cost of filters is also important, those need to be replaced every 6-12 months usually.

@Enderman has some good points.

But if you want to do it on the cheap, do this:

1. Buy a box-style floor fan (something like this)

https://www.amazon.com/Holmes-HBF2010A-WM-21-Inch-4-5-Inch-Speed-Settings/dp/B0037W4YD2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477182375&sr=8-1&keywords=box+fan

2. Buy a furnace style air filter (something like this)

https://www.amazon.com/20x20x1-Pleated-Furnace-Filters-produced/dp/B00CK05QRK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477182422&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=air+filter+20x20x1&psc=1

$40 + taxes, and you get a spare filter.

Just turn the fan on the lowest setting an hour or so every day (or leave the fan on all the time). Just make sure to get an Air Filter that roughly matches the dimensions of your box fan. You can literally just tape them together or whatever. There may be different types of filters you can buy, but any basic ones will help against dust.

Except furnace air filters are no where near as good as a proper HEPA filter (which any decent air filter will be using).

True, but you can buy HEPA air filters in Furnace size. Basically, all you need to do it for cheap is a HEPA filter that's approximately the same size as a fan, and just tape them together.

And in his case, while HEPA might be better, any filter that's going to catch air dust (eg: Furnace filter) is gonna be fine. Though HEPA is still an option.

With that in mind, if the OP has the budget for a proper air filter appliance, I'd recommend that, since it'll come with a lot more quality of life and ease of use features, and the filters will be smaller, and probably a little less expensive.

How is this one? https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-HHT-011-Clean-Compact-Purifier/dp/B000N9CPQK

it is relatively cheap, but it says it has a permanent filter, how can that be?

It's...not great.

You can look at reviews and comparisons of air filters.

Having a washable filter is good for cost savings, but this small thing won't really do very well in a decently sized room.

I also found this one https://www.amazon.com/GermGuardian-AC4825-Cleaning-Reduction-22-Inch/dp/B004VGIGVY/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1477194728&sr=8-3&keywords=hepa%2Bfilter&th=1

a bundle of 2 filters is $30, so not too bad. In the comments someone mentioned that the UC-C light makes Ozone, is that right, and how do I tell which ones do and don't?

Anything that says "UV" somewhere will create ozone.

Hm, well cool. That is a lot less for me to worry about. I might get that Germguardian one later, the replacements aren't too expensive and it seems to be about the right size for my usage. And best of all it is relatively cheap.

I personally use this here below which runs constantly during allergy season.

My only nitpick is that it can be a little loud, but i usually tune it out.
