Memory Speeds

I have a laptop that has 12gb of ddr4 2133mhz memory. I'm planning to buy 32gb of ram but i don't know what'll happen if i put 2400mhz ddr4 in a 2133mhz system (not sure if system is actually 2133 capped... would be appreciated if someone could tell me how to check!! :)

Make sure your laptop can handle that much ram, usually 16gb is the max.

unfortunately no but it definetly can handle 32
