Memory Speeds

I have a laptop that has 12gb of ddr4 2133mhz memory. I'm planning to buy 32gb of ram but i don't know what'll happen if i put 2400mhz ddr4 in a 2133mhz system (not sure if system is actually 2133 capped... would be appreciated if someone could tell me how to check!!

Make sure your laptop can handle that much ram, usually 16gb is the max.

unfortunately no but it definetly can handle 32
