Same screen, different refresh rate

Yoola

I have 2 same screens: LG 22EA63 (IPS, 60Hz, 5ms, 1920x1080) and I noticed color difference between two even after matching same settings directy on screens (pushing buttons on monitor).

Main screen is connected via HDMI cable while secondary is connected with VGA cable that's connected to DVI->VGA converter which is connected to GPU.

There's also one weird thing. Main monitor is on 59.94Hz while secondary is on flat 60Hz, and I'm wondering if that could be perhaps potential cause for my phantom lag spikes in some games (CS:GO)?

So to sum up:

-how do i match picture for both of them?

-could that weird refresh rate cause any issues?

You will unfortunately not be able to match them, seeing as one is hooked up via VGA. VGA is the inferior technology, as it's analog, while DVI, HDMI and Display port are digital signals.

Even a DVI->VGA or VGA-> DVI Adapter is not going to change the fact that the signal is inferior.

So you have a R9 280...  And you have a monitor that supports DVI master race and you're converting to anything but DVI?

Sounds like to me you're asking for it...

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

So I should just use DVI cable and that should solve it?

How about refresh rate?
