Remote desktop windows 10 home

Hi I have a gaming pc running windows 10 and a macbook that I'd like to be able to use to remote desktop my pc with but I cant seem to do it with the home version of Windows 10 is there a way to do this without additional software

You cannot connect a PC with Windows 10 Home via Remote Desktop. You'll have to at least upgrade to the Pro edition in other to have that functionality. With the Home edition, it can only connect to other systems as a client.

There's a program called Team Viewer that does this and it's free,  but it always streams through the Internet even if the computers are on the same network . At least I didn't bother trying to find a way to stream locally.

Your closest solution is Steam Streaming. Install Steam on both devices, run the game through Steam, and you should be able to stream the game locally at home from 1 compy to the other.
