What do you want to do with it? Motherboards don't affect performance at all except some are slightly better at over clocking. It's just features basically. Are you happy with the features? Is it reliable? A better question is: what is wrong with this motherboard and if the answer is nothing then it's fine.

Ah, yes! The anti-review. You have it but instead of telling us if it's good or bad, you ask us to tell you. I got ya! Well, what's good about it is that it's got some weight to it.

i am trying to ask other people with more experience with me and what they have encountered this is a new board so far it doesnt have any problems i just wanna see what people say

It's a simple LGA 1151 DDR3 mATX board, not much to say about it.

I'm not convinced motherboards cannot affect performance.

Sorry I should've been more specific. They do technically but only marginally. Linus did a test a year or two ago comparing motherboards and found about 2 Frames per second discrepancy.

Is it really?

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5492#ov

In the specifications it says it's DDR3(L).

If it's not on PCPartPicker it's probably either too new or they didn't care to add it.

There's a DDR4 version:

There's almost always two versions of 1151 motherboards for ddr3 and 4.

Whatever motherboard you go with, I doubt you're going to notice anything major. I don't think you'll ever for example see your CPU running at anything significantly lower than its capabilities.

Weird how only the DDR3 model shows up when Googling just the name. Also weird how Gigabyte doesn't link to that one on the product page of the DDR3 model.

There's about 3 times more DDR4 LGA 1151 motherboard on PCPartPicker compared to DDR3, so I don't think that's 'almost always' :P

But I see your point.

Yup. I had to Google specifically "[motherboard name] DDR4" to get it.

It is a great motherboard for budget builders. In fact, I will be getting one in my future build. However, I found out in had only 2 fan headers, CPU_FAN and SYS_FAN, which means you have to get a splitter to have 2 fans in your case and 1 for your CPU. Fortunately, I did manage to find a speaker off my local online store. Since its also a budget motherboard, you'll be getting only a single PCI-E slot for 1 GPU which leaves no space for SLI or Crossfire and only 2 RAM slots. However, since it is an LGA1151 socket motherboard, you could use this mobo for a really long time and all you have to do is probably get a more powerful Skylake processor and a more powerful GPU to keep up with future standards. Enjoy your motherboard.

It isn't really rare. Its just that people with a bigger budget prefer pimping their systems with Z170 mobos.

I wouldn't say rare, it's just that people more often go for ATX or ITX rather than mATX. There are also many different LGA 1151 motherboards, there is not one super popular one, more like people just use whatever so not all will be used a lot.

People also usually go with the B150 chipset too, rather than H110.
