Should I Get An SSD?

TyFilms

I'm about to build my first PC, and my budget is a bit small since I'm 13. It was supposed to be under $700, but I've gone over that, and I have had to sacrifice on a few parts. So with that being said, do I really need an SSD? Should I just get the Western Digital 1TB HDD? 1TB is more than enough space, so is that enough to just get an HDD? I was hoping on getting the SSD, but as I'm doubting it now. So, is it worth it? Or should I put the money somewhere else and get more power...?

UPDATE: I forgot to post my build lol sry. Here you go: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/TyFilms/saved/dQpgsY

i see, not really important to have an ssd. you won't gain extra frame rate on games with an ssd. just for those impatient people who can't wait for 10-20 secs of windows to boot in or some game.

If your on a budget like that then skip the ssd and put the money elsewhere, preferably your graphics card.

Is there something wrong with my graphics card? I don't want my build to be crap, how can I fix it.

how could u skip an SSD, the OS boot times alone are worth it, yes i would get one, just get a 128gb or 240gb cheap and use for OS then get a HDD for storage, honestly i don't game or do much and u will have less lag and issues with an SSD, i will never go back to a mechanical drive

Ok. I would prefer a 480 over a 1060, since AMD cards tend to age better, regardless of the facts that the 1060 gets better fps, and I won't be able to upgrade any PC parts anytime soon. Would it be better to get the RX 480 8GB, or an i5- 6500?

480 8gb better. the difference between 6400 and 6500 is barely noticeable in games

After looking into it, the 8GB and the 4GB have a difference of about 5 or less fps in most games, and I might just OC my 480 anyways. Where can I put the money?

If you have to keep it under $700 one option would be to go with just an ssd. It requires some care in choosing programs and other content, but something around 250GB should be enough if one is careful. A 1TB hdd can always be added later.

Here is an alternative to the OP build. Not necessarily better, just more compact and a touch quieter.

SSD is more of a luxury item. It's not atall needed , it in no way affects FPS, only loading times.

It's really nice to have and makes your PC feel a lot faster if you have one, but your PC is fine without one.

Besides, you can always just put one in if you have the money later.
