Will Samsung continue the Note line?

Swiftfeather

I am currently bound to an iPhone 5S and get a free/reduced cost upgrade available starting in January.

Not to get into too many details, I was REALLY looking forward to upgrading to a Note 7, and now with all this exploding mumbo jumbo, I won't be getting one.

I'm wondering if Samsung will continue their line next August like they have since they came out with the first Note, or if it'll take longer before we see another flagship Note (or Note-like) device from them. The S7 edge is nice and all, but the pen input is really what I was looking forward to with the note 7.

My personal opinion is that they will release another phone at the same size and price range. However the "Note" name is too tarnished for them to convince any consumer (let alone those caught up in the current debacle) to buy something with Note on the box. TL;DR they will release what the Note 8 is supposed to be under some new name

I think so. Samsung has a long time until expected to release another note, so they have plenty of time to defuse the bomb.

Probably yes, but not under the 'Note' moniker. Since they're superbly good at being influenced by Apple, I wouldn't be suprised to see a Note sized Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Pro

Yes, I personally really like the note series, they should continue it, actually I think they should make like a Note 7 Refresh series, giving the battery manufacturing job to someone more experienced in that field, they will most likely make Note 8.

I don't think they'd have an issue with continuing the note line, for Samsung its low volume and the sales must be pretty constant by now. I believe that the note has great brand loyalty.

Also, the note users appear to be quite die hard, and although I've only had mine for a couple of months, I kinda see their point.

It would be a great shame if they stopped it, it makes the most sense if you look at the market right now, the note is an actual productivity minded device, while everyone else basically has a larger phone just for the sake of it.
