So, I'm not sure if you remember me. If you do? great, if you don't? then this post is probably not for you.

So I guess I should explain why I left. Simply put? School got hectic. I was a senior in high school, rocking 4 AP classes and 2 PAP classes.

It was a nightmare.

I've finally graduated and I'm a freshman now, working on a computer engineering degree at the University of Houston.

 

Since you've last seen me, I've learned many things over the summer, notably Lua and modeling. I have only created garry's mod mods so far, but I do plan to make an entire sourcemod eventually.

I have also set up a small side business for the residents of my dorm. I'm currently charging $30 to put together low price gaming PCs for those who want them. (I look at what games they play/want to play, and construct the best value computer I can for those requirements.) So there's that.

 

It's been a while, so is there anything I should be aware of on this forum?

Also, I guess this could be seen as an AMA, if those are still allowed.

Welcome Back @Jack.EXE, I don't remember you well, but I remember you, I think you have helped me before.

 

The community is often cancer, I would leave but then I would have nothing, all my friends are here, so I am staying (for now at least)

Some mass poster who were knowledgeable and were filtering out the garbage have left, so now a lot of garbage is coming through (The ignorant people are staying because no one has stood up against them and corrected them).

 

Honestly stay if you want to, or find a better community, I wouldn't recommend go here for help and I wouldn't ask a question here because the people who are knowledgeable have left or will never see it because of all the garbage.

I ended up giving up on that specific project, and instead used a pi 3 with a 3D printed case. I may try doing it again later, but the PS2 is not deep enough for a mini ITX motherboard, so I may have to make an extension to it.
