Hey guys,i recently bought an hdmi cable because i was using my very old vga cable with a dvi adapter and the image is worse.Im using a tv as a monitor which has a 1680x1050 resolution.I reinstalled drivers,I put the scalling option to 0%,i put the color pixel format as full rgb,i changed refresh rates and resolutions but still nothing changed.I changed the hdmi channel of my tv to PC and more types.I tried the hdmi 2 channel but still didn't work. However,I noticed that my tv shows 1080p resolution on the hdmi channel while im using 1680x1050.I can't even see when i use dots in this text.Any advice?

If the tv supports 1080p through HDMI (which I'm sure it does) then change your desktop res to 1080p. I run a 1080p monitor (vga as I can't find my DVI cable yet) and my TV (40" Toshiba) through HDMI in Mirror Mode.

First of all, with HDMI cables, you either get a signal or you don't, there is no in-between, it will work or it won't.

Since its working, there is nothing wrong with your cable, its your TV.

Could you post which TV you have?

I really don't know if it supports 1080p.The tv is supposed to have 1680x1050 resolution. If im using the vga cable nothing is blurred but if i change the resolution to 1080p i can't see everything on the screen. And no,if i change resolutions nothing changes

Maybe change the sharpness/smoothness on the tv? I know mine varies on connection/channel. Adjust your tv phase if you can as well.

I had the same problem where my tv was blurry at (1320?)x720 (16:9) but at 768 it was the best picture I have seen.

I tried and it didn't change anything.I still don't know why the info about the hdmi channel of the tv says 1080p in pc mode.I'm using only 1680x1050

Could you list your computer specs? Would also help to know if you're using a desktop pc or laptop.
