Do you use flash (cameras)

Snickerzz

I use flash only if it's really dark. I'd rather use HDR or low light mode

I only use flash if it's the only option available.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

There are creative ways to use flash. I don't like using it because I feel like it drains my battery fast :P

While I rarely use flash, there are times when I need it for fill. We used properly, flash can look use like natural light. The key is to use it off camera or at least diffuse it somehow.

Depends.

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

I like to use my 1.8 35mm lens and very long exposures like 1/20. with my cam i still get sharp images that way. With the built in flash you can see everything you don't want to see (in faces the imperfections and on plastic or metal you see dust and little scratches)

why use a flash when you can change the iso. flash is only used to bring the ambient light in the room up enough so you can low your iso and capture the same color your eyes see in the room.

Because high ISO leads to grain..

Built in flash is ok if you put a piece of paper at a 45 degree angle in front of it.

I do not use on camera flash. I have used off camera flash to do some cool things though.

Thanks to the Nature(?) I got very stable hands. So I only use Flash in the complete darkness/or as an stylistic device.

Yes, pretty much every shot I take has a flash involved, its never on the camera though. Even large landscapes its fun to throw a flash(es) in to highlight certain objects or small buildings.

Generally, flash tends to ruin pictures. Natural/reflected light usually works best.

I dunno I actually prefer the look of flash, if used correctly, or a combination of both.

Generally not. I'd much rather up the exposure time and use a tripod and then do some post on it in photoshop.

But that's on-camera flash. I've never used off-camera flash or even those big on-camera flashes.

I loved my Nikon SB-400 and SB-700.

The SB-700 alone would be reason enough to get into the Nikon system again :(

By flash I presume you mean on camera.

If so, no way. Never used it.

I use a 430EX II, i always try to bounce, diffuse or use it in an interesting way.

I really don't like un-natural light and always try to avoid it to get a natural soft light with nice tones and good placement.
