Posted October 11, 2016 I'm torn on this. While i love the older camaro and i would like to own one the new ones are good too. If i lived in the land of cheap gas i'd daily the '68. And in the end i'm going to go with my heart and say i'll pick the old one. But it has to be a Yenko. I'm currently dailying a fourth gen camaro v6. And some day i'll hopefully get enough spare cash to pick up a 1971 SS ====>The car thread<====>Dark Souls thread<====>Placeholder<==== "Life is like a raging river, Its gonna get rough downstream. Posted October 11, 2016 Generally the older cars are far, far cooler than their modern equivalent. But as actual transport the new ones are far, far better. So as weekend toy the '68 all the way, but as an only car it would have to be the new one. A '68 anything is too old to daily drive IMO, parts availability and the constant maintenance is just too much to deal with on something you need to get you to work. And then there is the minimal crash protection, rubbish lights and wipers, the balance between getting a well featured head unit in the car and getting one that look period. Mid 90's is probably as early as I'd go with a daily driver, and even then I'd like a back up car in case it was off the road for a couple of weeks while I sourced a part.
