Wow, the melee in that is unlike anything I've seen before, does this mod still have players? I have Half Life 1 on Steam and I'm up for some of that action.

The mod still has a few players, perhaps 30 or so on a regular basis. A lot of the concepts of the combat in this game are extremely solid, I haven't seen them recreated in a modern FPS yet. If someone had enough skill and time to invest in recreating The Specialists, I believe it would be a very popular game.

It's the only one I own haha. I don't really like COD games much but got that for free.

S4 League is my favorite shooter atm. Its fast paced and takes a lot of skill and learning to train a bead of fire onto someone while they are moving. much harder to do compared to games like battlefield 3 and CoD

I loved the Single player for medal of honor 1 (the danger close one) i love that single player so much, the dialog was good along with the game play, some aspects could have been improved, but it is one of the first games that made me feel omething and take a side when you are shown that one guy sitting behind the desk makes the wrong decision and overules someone then he is wrong and does something bad (friendly fire on trooper in convoy from a gunship for example)

Quake 3 definitely the shooter I played the most. Was never good but I liked it a lot. Since then? Only BF series does it or Chivalry is awesome... to be fair I suck at archery in Chivalry, it is very hard to me compared to BF3 or BF2.

 

I think you could add Darkfall as well. it is a MMO but when you use archery, you have to take into account the movement speed and distance (the arc of the arrow) of the target otherwise you miss. Its not automatic hit like almost every other MMO.

Wolfenstein: enemy territory, id software, best fps in history imo. still alive and actually gaining momentum again. played it since the demo.
