  1. Just an update on this. I ordered another one as it was cheap enough and other poeple had it working and it works straight away. So think the adapter itself was just a bit dying (have also seen a lot of people talking about them dying easily.
  2. So I guess I will just get a M.2 SATA ssd then maybe. Just to keep it neat. Thank you for your help!
  3. But is there a way that I could only allocate 4 lanes to it. I am not going to be saturating even 4 lanes ever. Only ever using them to play back video files. The only time they have large sequential rights is when onloading or offloading footage and even then it's being written to from a sata ssd.
  4. Hey All, I am a bit unsure and just wanted to run what I wanted to do by someone smart first to see if I was doing something wrong. I am looking to add another NVME SSD to my PC (and maybe more in the future) So I was going to get one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-Hyper-M-2-Card-Socket/dp/B07PCKTL1J/ref=asc_df_B07PCKTL1J/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=231989761408&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=271083459921112920&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045712&hvtargid=pla-736734030708&psc=1
  5. But that's the thing, I get nothing. Like nothing has been plugged in at all? People seem to say it's a dac, and people have suggest it as a DAC to then supply an AMP as a good set up. https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/apple-usb-c-to-3-5-mm-headphone-jack-adapter.23420/reviews and https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/ecf1ud/apple_usbc_to_35mm_adapter_impressions/ and https://www.audioreviews.org/apple-audio-adapter-review/ I am not sure if there is a misinterpretation on my side of this or not?
  6. Hi All, I have an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Adapter that I want to use as a DAC for when I travel to be better than my laptops onboard sound (especially as I have been having some issues with it) I have tried on both my PC and my laptop and neither show the device anywhere. it's like nothing has been plugged in. My PC is the only one with a USB-C port. But i have adapters for normal USB for my laptop. But neither device detected it. I also tried a second USB-C headphone adapter which also doesn't show up. They show up on my phone just fine but neither adapter works on either PC or laptop and I
  7. I am currently running Superlux 681 Evo's (but they are weirdly quite for 32ohms) However I am looking to go to the Sennheiser HD560s. I could, and I have considered this. I do have my monitors and sub going into a remote controlled switch on my power bar so can use one button to turn them off. But then the headphones would always be running and I thought this wouldn't be ideal to have headphones running for so long. This is why I was looking at audio interfaces with audio controls for both monitoring as well as separate controls for the speakers. The Focusrite
  8. Hey all, I am looking to get a desktop dac amp combo to both power my powered monitors and headphones. There are man dac/amp combos with all the outputs. The issue is finding one that has a toggle for the outputs within my price range that is good. I am ideally looking around £100-150. I was originally looking at the if zen dac. But I don't want to deal with constant unplugging of cables to select my outputs. Does anyone have any recommendations for me? Would an audio interface be a good alternative due to output select and seperate volume control? On a side note: I
  9. Hey all, I just got these headphones and I feel they are kinda quiet. I have a soundblaster e1 dac (from a while back) it have the option for low and high gain. the low gain says it goes up to 32ohms. I feel these headphones are quiet at that level, but I don't want to break them by putting to much level through them. How can I know when I am putting to much and I am going to damage them. I already have a +4 db digital gain boost. Thanks
  10. Hey All, Is there any fixes for what seems to be such a broken system of what is bluetooth audio on windows. If I use my headphones with a microphone, then the quality drops, I have issues with audio not coming through in certain applications when using it for calls. Quality when set to "headset" I am just not sure what the issue is with I just know it doesn't... work generally. A lot of people have spoken about this before such as here: Are there any fixes or reliable workarounds? Thanks
  11. Would you say there is a noticeable difference in actual quality (depth, texture, details etc..) or is it so close that its more just which suits better for the use case? Either would work, but zen has some nice things that are little add-on's, but I am not sure if the e30 is that much better to make it worth it.
  12. E30 looks good. (or at least Zeos says it is) How would you pick between them. Yeah, fulla seems okay but like you said its more designed for headphones, and getting any quality analogue volume control takes it too far over my budget.
  13. Hey All, I am looking to get a dac for my powered monitors and sub mainly. (don't really wear headphones other than for gaming) I was looking at around £100 ish. I was looking at the schitt modi 3, but the lack of volume control digitally or on the dac itself turned me away. I was otherwise looking at the ifi Zen which is nice as it is also an AMP if I do want to start using headphones for music more in the future. I don't need the most "true" sound. I am just looking to step the sound a bit more from the onboard dac. I have KRK Rokit 5 G2's and a Wharfedale SW150 sub. So RCA outs a
  14. Hi all, I recently build a new pc, and I have been having a problem where the keyboard and mouse go to sleep after a while (few hours usually) But I can't wake up my pc without hard shutdown and restart as the keyboard and mouse don't have power. I have looked online and gone through the main things I can think of to fix it such as allowing them to wake the pc in the first place. Power settings, and allowed them to wake the pc in device manager. I am not sure what else I might be missing? Does anyone else have any ideas Thanks
  15. well that is more money than I wanted to spend Thank you though
