Tried to reinstall windows ant stuick in CMD menu

Hi everyone,

So I was trying to do a fresh reinstall of Windows 7 on my laptop, but it got an error when it was almost done and had to restart.

It was trying to rollback previous settings and failed. I get this everytime I boot up my laptop.

Can anyone recommend what I do next? Any help is much appreciated!

My advice is try windows 10 instead if your CPU is supported by windows 10. It is just a more stable OS with less bugs like this.

Agreed! This is your best option.

Really? no offense but do you really understand what you are saying? Your solution is akin to having a car with a flat tire and going out and buying a new car to fix the flat! ANY damaged installation disc (either by file corruption or physical damage) would cause this to happen, Unless the new Windows 10 is magical and self heals damaged discs it would do the same thing with similar damage.

Is this install disc a legitimate install disc? I have to ask because the X in the screen shot usually denotes a "Temp" drive or a "PE" or "RE" environment and I do not believe that any version of windows uses a "TEMP" drive upon boot up.

Did I help you to fix your problem or at least did offer somewhat valuable advice? Consider giving my post a "informative" or "thumbs up".

What did it take to fix it? was it just a corrupted file on the initial install? Thanks

I think it was more of an issue with my SSD, I had to delete it and repartition it and it worked :D
