144hz cables @2k

So i got a new monitor i cant find a cable for it im pretty new to all of this sry if this is a noob question. i got the new asus rog 27" 2k 144hz monitor and i have 2 gtx 980 ti hybrids. The gpu's and monitor both have a display port 1.2 input but i cant find a cable that support 144hz i was wondering if you guys could help me find a solution thanks

And DP cable will work.

What matters is that both the GPU and monitor support DP 1.2

displayport will do 144hz.

I assume you mean what brand. I'm not sure either. I bought one a few years ago, it sat for a year, I used it for 30+- minutes and the screen started looking like it's melting. Came on here, talked about it and people told me it was the cable. I threw that thing out and just plugged my DVI back in lol. Just a freak accident probably.

 on amazon the only cables i can find says does not support 144hz

Any 1.2 cable can do 1440p 144hz.

Like i said im pretty noob sorry, the resolution is 2560X1440 at 144hz and the only cables i can find on amazon say they do not support 144hz. Could you guys send me a link that would be great thanks.

One DisplayPort cable will do for each card.

Any DisplayPort cable should work. It doesn't have the limits of HDMI on video rate. DP will allow you to send 60+ FPS to your monitor, where as HDMI 1.4 won't exceed 60 for standard 1080p.

choose a Display Port 1.2 if your GPU AND screen are compatible. If they aren't, choose DVI
