i was making a build on pcpartpicker but this poped up but i dont understand it and i was wondering if anyone wants to help me

• The motherboard M.2 slot #0 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6Gb/s ports are disabled.

If you use the M.2 slot, it'll disable some of the Sata ports.

If you use the M.2 slot, you will have two of your SATA ports disabled. What board is it?

do you know a mother Board that i shoud use?

well are you going to use a M.2 slot? if not your fine, and even if you do losing 2 sata ports is not a big deal

It looks like if you use the M.2 is used, the two SATA on the lower-right will be disabled. This is normal for most motherboards. If the Krait matches the look you're going for, it's a good match.

What kind of motherboard are YOU looking for?

What is the rest of your system configuration (e.g. number of HDD, SDD, graphics cards, etc).

 

The motherboard has six (6) SATA III ports.

If you will only be using say...3 HDD's (1x M.2, 2x SATA HDD's), then the "compatibility notes" won't be a problem.

You are only using 2 of the 4 SATA III ports (2 gets disabled when you used the M.2, so only 4 is left).

How many SATA ports do you want to use? if it's 4 or under then you're all set, you'll just have to use SATA 1,2,3,4

You're fine then.

If even you use the 950 PRO in the M.2 slot, you still have four (4) SATA III ports -- and you only have ONE (1) SATA HDD, which is your WD Caviar Black.

 

You have nothing to worry about.

In this case his SATA ports should be fine while his eSATA is disabled.
