I have just purchased the corsair sf450 power supply and realized that it dose not have long enough cables to reach all my components and was looking to get some new longer cables. I was looking at both cablemod.com and corsairs website and they both do not have this power supply or even the sf series supported for cables. so I was wondering if it would just be best to get some cable extensions or if there is some where that produce good quality cables and connect to the corsair sf 450 power supply.

Get some of the Bitfenix cable extensions.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

As mentioned Cable Mod makes extensions including others such as Bitfenix and Silverstone.

Corsair standardized their pin-out so they will be compatible with their own PSUs. Currently, it's either Type-3 or Type-4. Looking at the 24-pin cable, the SF has four extra pins to accommodate the extra v.sense wires for the 12V rail on the Type-4 cables. This mean the SF series should be compatible with the RMi / RMx cables, which in turn mean you can used the CableMods C-Series RMi / RMi cables. https://store.cablemod.com/products/?filter_models=rmi-rmx

If you need validation on this, @Corsair George or @Corsair Joseph may be able to assist you. @CableMod may be able to check this as well.

Or you could post here: http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13560

Jonny, the founder of the site, currently works for Corsair as a their PSU's product manager, so he would certainly be able to answer this.

you can design shorter cables for your PSU here: https://store.cablemod.com/configurator/
