Just make sure you update your BIOS, or make sure you're already using the latest revision. The 4790 requires version 7817vA4 or later. You could also look into getting a Xeon E3 1230v3, as that's basically just a rebranded i7-4770 and often cheaper. Again, it's compatible with the board, just update your BIOS first. Don't bother getting a "K" version unless you somehow find one cheaper that way. You can't overclock on a B85 motherboard anyway. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
