Earlier I had a problem where windows security alert popped up almost every time I opened chrome or spotify (it happened in a few other applications too but I mainly noticed it on those 2) Now I think I've managed to somehow fix that. But just after that I couldn't connect to spotify. It said error 4. I tried to fix it in prefrences by switching proxy to http. It didn't work. Then I tried to reinstall the whole thing but now I cant install it.  Everytime I launch spotifysetup it tries to download spotify for a while and them says: "Unable to download spotify...trying again in 10 seconds". At that point I started to check other applications. Steam at first appeared to work but when I tried to go to my profile or store it said: error code: -101. I'm able to go to the internet with browsers though.

Your firewall might be blocking those sites/programs from using the internet. Try to check your firewall for this.

I assume you meant ipconfig and there's a lot of stuff there. Is it the IPv4?

Yes.

umm...I just unintalled panda free anti virus and I could install spotify and login. Also steam works too. wft?

Some Antivirus software will do this, and you probably can reinstall it if you want to but make sure you make an exception for those programs in the settings/wherever you do that. I remember Norton/Avast like to block games like CS:GO when they get updates or programs without a long history of being on the internet so..

Least you fixed it :D

Ah there you have it. Your "security" program was too secure, apparently.

I recommend NOT using Panda Anti-Virus, and switching over to MBAM Premium with a healthy does of common sense when browsing online.

I've been using MBAM and common sense for 3 years, virus-free, and I download a lot of questionable stuff for development purposes.
