Amd Radeon Crimson v16.9.1 Crashing

Recently I've been getting graphic driver crashes, so I checked if there's a new update. I updated Crimson to 16.9.1 and now it only crashes (sometimes) on Twitch when I switch to fullscreen or the other way around..

 

Is it just me or are you also having issues with the latest drivers ?

Have you tried to DDU the driver off before installing the newest?

The same thing happened to me on Twitch with the latest driver. Hopefully it won't take ages for AMD to address it.

Try disabling Flash's hardware acceleration.

Oh? I forgot Twitch used flash since I can enable HTML5 in it now. :D

You have to be randomly invited to their beta program. Then it becomes an option on the settings wheel. I was just bragging. :P

Actually the driver notes don't give it credit, but on, I think it's GCN 3.0 and 4.0 cards draw calls got a nice boost of around 10%.

FWIW, I've been having some pretty massive problems with 16.9.1 in Rise of the Tomb Raider (dx12, mGPU) - including weird color inversions, full system hangs. Before the update, everything was fine - hadn't had a crash in weeks.

 

I used the guru3d.com uninstaller to completely remove my Radeon stuff and reinstall, removed my CPU overclock, and I seem to be doing a little better, though I did have 2 more system hang situations yesterday evening.

My PC completely died yesterday after installing drivers. It completely froze and I had to power it off. When i powered it back on again, it blue screened. I couldnt even get to the desktop. In the end I had to re-install Windows. The moral of the story is, if it aint broken dont fix it
