This will be very exciting for the gpu world, but personally I like games bundled with my gpu and amd has a better history with this. If it comes bundled with a game I REALLY want to play *cough*GTA*cough*and can play it at high settings with 45FPS I would buy it over another card with a few more FPS or cheaper price.

Agreed, it is quite sad what some fanboys would say. Anyway, since this looks like a flamebait thread with absolutely no links to hardware review sites on this subject, hence a pointless thread, I have reported it to a mod and await appropriate action.

You yourself are breaking 3 rules from the CoC 4.1 section, so please just calm down, ignore everyone else and focus on the topic or don't comment.

 

I am really excited about the 800 series!  I have heard a lot about the unified memory idea, I am worried though, because system memory is still very slow compared to GDDR5, therefore I am not quite sure how they will be doing this.  I mean it makes sense on the consoles with a total SOC design with all system memory as GDDR5, but PCs have two different memory types.  I am really excited to have greater memory capacities as my 2GB card is reaching its limits there.

You yourself stated plainly that this is a 'Rumor' thread, hence it should NOT be in the vid card section....more 'Off Topic'. I get what you are saying.  A lot of the comments are pointless, with posts of just "Yay Nvidia" or "I can't wait", but I think the idea of having a thread you can follow and whenever there is release news it can be aggregated and discussed here is a good one.

FYI, wikipedia is not reputable. before the announcement that the AMD 8000 cards where OEM parts, there was an entire page saying it is the volcanic islands cards. Keep in mind that I could goto the 800 series page and say the new card runs on the dust of unicorns, dosn't mean it is right (it is leprechauns that actually power it, they make the best slave labour and triangles)

Is there even going to be a game released anytime soon that needs more than the GTX 780? After getting a 780 Classified last week I don't really see a reason to replace it anytime soon. Might just wait till the 900 series or 1000 series (whatever they will call it).

Depends what Resolution, FPS, and details you want to run at. 

I want 4K 60FPS (eventually). Simple as that. Eventually means 2-4 years (for the displays to drop in price).
