Super budget VR ready PC

Snakkey

I think most platforms recommend an i5, the i3 may be a problem but not sure.

Laptop - Dell 7559

Intel Core i7 -6700hq / Nvidia GTX 960m / 16gb RAM / 128GB M.2 SSD / 1TB HDD

Is this good? I have an old hard drive that i can plug in so I don't need that much storage.

That CPU is bottlenecking in 1080p gaming on demanding games, it's going to be madness in VR, you must change it. Also you don't need an external CPU cooler if you don't OC 80% of the time (especially with an i3 :S)
What's good is: the GPU, the board, the RAM (kind of, because I honestly don't know how much RAM VR games take more than normal games, if any) and the rest. My recommendation is i5 6600 (or 6600k + liquid cooling like H110i v2 and OC) and you should be good to go

Hi! An i3-6100 is below VR Spec. I have put together two of the cheapest VR ready machines.

On this last list, replace the CPU Cooler's fan with the Venturi HP12 PWM that's included, as it will perform better and be quieter. This cooler should allow you to overclock the FX processor so that you have no issue meeting VR spec.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
