So.. Im thinking in build the quiest pc. with no mobile parts (even the powersupply and graphicscard)  The rig for now:

-RAM: DDR4 Corsair 2x8 3200

-Mainboard: Intel B150ProASus1151

-Storage: Kingstone M.2 SSD 240Gb

-Proc: I5 6600 3.3Ghz 6mb 1151

-RX480 (yep)

Im thinking in make two coopers heatsinks for the graphics-card and CPU.

What powersupply fanless do you recommend?.

I'm looking for one between 500-750w.

watercooling with no fans? or did this just end up in the wrong category?  Watercooling still requires a pump so might as well strap some 750rpm fans ^_^

Otherwise, rock on man :D

With no water per say in the loop your are denpendant on air to move the heat.  So per definition air cooling :)  or put it in the new builds and planning

It's not water-cooling just because there's no fans... How is 99% of RAM cooled?  I don't see any fans, must be water! :D

I'm sorry, I know you were just playing devil's advocate ^_^

That being said, I'd love to see some home-made heatsinks!

@iamdarkyoshi WAS working on a budget passive build....   its been a while though ;)

Spoiler

I must be in a mood tonight!  O.o

Going for a completely fanless setup does go beyond the point of diminishing returns when it comes to silence, typically at the expensive of cooling. Good quality fans throttled down to 400rpm can be essentially inaudible against background noise of your room, but this will still completely stomp a fanless solution for cooling. Also, the quieter a system is, the more you may notice other sounds, such as High Frequency Electronic Noise (aka 'coil whine'), that can be masked by modest fan noise in a more typical system.

If this is a specific project or interest of yours then go for it by all means...

no but you posted this in the liquid and exotic cooling.  Passive isn't really exotic cooling either
