Dac/Amp For Sennheiser HD 558

I've been looking at the 558. Do I need a DAC or amplifier for it? Or, will a DAC or amplifier help?

But seriously. At this point in time, unless you're an audiophile there should be literally no difference, unless you're streaming 320kb audio all the time

I would not advise spending money on a DAC and amp on such a limited budget, unless your onboard has obvious audible deficiencies.

Your sound card should be good enough for the headphones. A DAC wouldn't have a noticeable difference unless you have OCD and you're an audiophile.

Then get a Behringer UCA202 or FiiO E6. Part of being an audiophile is trying stuff for yourself. I can sit here and tell you your money would be better spent elsewhere, but you have to find your own way in the end.

no not at all i got a HD 598 and i dont need a dac at all, i use a dac only because of interference.
