Do you mean it feels slow or it is slow? Because it is certainly not slow.

It's not slow it's super freaking fast. That's mainly because you activated Samsungs RAM-Caching Thing that makes the results go nuts. Without that it's probably be at 500mb/s which is still plenty fast.

What exactly is it that feels slow?

It would likely not help with downloads or software installations, mainly with starting programs, and loading games like GTA 5 and what not.

You know that your downloads depend on your internet speeds right.

Well try loading up GTA 5 on the SSD and the HDD and time it, the SSD should load up WAYYYY faster, my 7200RPM HDD usually takes around 30-1:20 to load the game.

Yep, as others have said, your 100Mbps internet connection is going to bottleneck downloads WAY BEFORE the SSD top's out at max speed. Remember, 100Mbps is 12.5MB/s. So that means your download speed will never be faster than 12.5MB/s. And since there's often overhead with internet connections, server connection and routing issues, your speed in practice might be even less, like 10MB/s, etc.

So your download speed caps out at 12.5MB/s, and your SSD's SLOWEST benchmark was 480MB/s. Your SSD is literally THIRTY EIGHT (38) times faster than your download speed.

The SSD will increase the RANDOM IO reads and writes, so things like opening folders, loading files, Windows booting up, and the general "smoothness" of the OS will all increase.

Your download speeds will not.

!00 Mbps is barely 12.5 MB/s. Even a 10 year old HDD should be fine.
