someone tell me what type of ram is this?

Go to solution Solved by Daveeede,

looks like ddr3. Seems there was a mix up and somebody sent you the wrong one.

I bought this ram(the one underneath) on amazon a long time ago. my problem with this ram is even though it says it is a ddr4 non-ECC on the package but it doesn't fit into my motherboard which supports ddr4. in the end, I brought another ram in a physical store which solved my problem. can someone tell me what type of ram the one underneath so I can make a decision on what to do with it. btw sorry for my not so good English.IMG_1104.JPG

The stick on top is DDR4 ram of some frequency, if the "ddr4" wasnt enough to tell you that, the connector along the bottom should be, it's equal length on both sides.

The stick underneath it though is just plain old DDR3. Once again, connector layout on the bottom tells me that.

Strange, its written DDR4 on it..

Only on the top one, which is indeed DDR4. The one below (which OP is talking about) has no DDR4 markings on it and is actually DDR3.
