PCIe limiting sata ports?

The motherboard I am looking at is the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 Ultra, I will be using a m.2 sata drive with it which I know limits 2 of the sata ports and 1 sata express port. But I also want to use a usb hub that goes in the PCIe slot, will this also limit more sata slots as well?

yes but isnt that just for a PCIe hard drive, because thats for expansion slots?

It's claiming that any occupation of an x4(or above) card disables those ports.

I edited my post.

I don't know how it's going to behave with an x1 card installed, but it might be getting routed to the chipset(because x1 is only available in PCIe 2.0 AFAIK), therefore not affecting anything else.

Ah, ok yes the one I want is a x1 card so that should work. Perfect

Ok so according to that, if I have both a m.2 ssd and a pcie usb hub then it should only disable 2 of the sata ports. Thanks! Also do they make sata splitters, so you can plug 2 sata drives into one slot? I have no clue to be honest.

There are no SATA splitters in existence as of right now.
