Can Anyone help me with Detecting my Motherboard Manufacturer name ?

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

Here's a suggestion for an AMD build based on Newegg parts only (to make it easier and save on shipping) , click on the link below to get links to each item :

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/ttwgbj

Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/ttwgbj/by_merchant/

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard  ($60.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($32.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($44.91 @ Newegg)
Total: $238.86
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The FX-6300 is a six core processor, and about 10-15% faster than the i3 in most applications, maybe more.

If you have a SATA hard drive, you can probably reuse it, otherwise you probably need to buy one because the new motherboards don't have IDE connectors (those flat wide cables).  Same for the optical drive.

You can probably reuse the case as well, saving money this way. I didn't add to the list a case because it's a matter of taste after all, there's all kinds of cases.

The downside with this configuration is that it uses the old DDR3 memory format and that it's socket AM3+ which would make it incompatible with the future AMD Zen processors. You'll be able to upgrade to somewhat more powerful processors in the future like FX-8300 or FX-8320 (8 core cpus) but there's not much performance increase. In theory, the motherboard supports even 125w processors like FX-8350 but it's not a good idea to use 125w TDP processors with this motherboard.  When Zen shows up, you'll probably find lots of people selling their old systems, so you'll find processors on eBay or other places at cheap prices. Best would probably be a FX-8300, 8 core processor with a 95w TDP, which would be on par with an i5-6600 or a i5-4670k and others in that price range.

Since you have such an old system, I doubt you're going to upgrade a processor on this new system, just like you've waited so much to upgrade your current system. By the time you'd think about, you'd basically have to buy a lot of new parts at the same time.

This CPU+MB combination is about $50 cheaper than the Intel based suggestion above, money which you could use on a more powerful video card - instead of a RX 460 which costs about $155 you could go for a RX 470 at around $200-210 which is much more powerful and which you'll probably be able to reuse in the next computer you'll build.

The RX 470 video card is powerful enough to play almost any game out there at 1920x1080 at 60 fps with high-ultra quality settings so you'd be very happy with it.

Hey Guys,

I have a Motherboard that my pc can't detect the Manufacturer Name , i need to buy new parts for my pc but i need to check what is compatible with my motherboard :(

that is a pentium E5700

rocking the LGA 775 socket

i would not spend money on a system that old for general use or even gaming.

it is simply too old to be worth any money spent on it. i suggest saving up for a new system

let me show you some scores

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Pentium-E5700-vs-Intel-Core-i3-6100/m976vs3511

even the lowest end modern i3 is nearly 3 times faster. you dont need an i7 6700k.

even the best cpu on that socket is behind the i3 by 60%

this one will kick yours to the curb in every way

you dont need an i7. or a 1080.

plus this is upgradeable to the i5 or i7 6000 and 7000 series later on

then you could upgrade to 16 GB ram

a new gpu, etc

this will give you all the room in the world to upgrade.

CPU Z can read the mother manufacturer.

The best cpu (that would be worth it) you could get for that is probabbly a q6600, bit as @007agentHP said it isn't worth it to spend more money on an old system like that. Even a skylake pentium g4400 which can be bought for $56 is a lot better, or get an amd apu. You don't need an i7 and a gtx 1080, nobody does, it is just that they want them.

EDIT: here is a g4400 setup that will kiss that 775's ass for only $220USD.

Judging by it's 45nm and 800FSB, it could support 1066FSB otherwise you're screwed.

It may be eh on the support of C2Q, but it'd probably support E7600 if it supports 1066, or E8600 if it supports 1333.

No, Newegg won't ship to Lebanon, but you should be able to find those exact parts (at least the processor and the motherboard) in Europe at various stores that may ship to Lebanon.
