Is the intel i5-6500 overclockable?

I've heard that it is overclockable if you buy a Z170 motherboard. Is that true?

If you must overclock then get a CPU that can and a MOBO that is designed for overclocking.

On SOME Z170 mobos, you CAN overclock it.

However, there are just so many downsides to it that it's not recommended. If you want to OC, pay for a 6600k rather than the 6500.
