NVIDIA GTX series hierchy

I cant remember how much I paid for my GTX 650, but I get the feeling for some reason, that the better cards are higher up in the second digit.

Meaning GTX-670 is better then 650, and 680 is better then 670. And the TI's are always better then the non TI's. And the TI OC is better then just the TI.

Same goes for GTX 950 970 980, 980Ti and GTX 1060-3rd Best, 1070-2nd Best, 1080-Best (Best as in the series line, maybe not cross referenced to other lines, like I read that the 980Ti is better then the 1060, but not so with the creme-de-la-creme 1080)

 

I looked on the GPU Hierchy chart and my GTX 650 is not on there, but the GTX-650Ti sure is, so would the regular 650 be one tier lower?

I guess they call the GTX-650 the "reference card"

Yea, the regular 650 is going to be slightly worse than the 650ti, but the whole 6 series is massively out of date at this point in the life cycle.

Yes, usually the bigger the number, the stronger the graphics cards are.

The 650 TI is there, and so is the 650. It's called a GT 650 though and it's 2 tiers lower @Canada EH

I bought that card like a year and a half ago, but I was going on price and did not have Tomshardware or other forums at the time to go by performance. Probably just went on min specs for World of Tanks online.

Yes those are the charts I just read. Thats what clued me in. 650Ti Boost = GTX 750 Ti

I did not think a higher tier would equal a lower one.

Class by class though the GTX 750 is a tiny bit higher then a GTX 650. Looks like 1500 pts. But I got no clue how big a deal that is, or what meaning it has; 1500 pts.
