$1200 gaming PC (£800)

popcorn

Hey guys. I'm looking for some opinions on my build which I'm planning to assemble next month. I'm not going to overclock or crossfire, although I will upgrade to an 8970 in the future when it is eventually released. I already have a brand new monitor so I won't be needing that. One thing I definitely won't change will be the case because I love it. Anyway here it is.

I'd recommend dropping the CPU to an FX6300 if it's for gaming, you really won't see much benefit from the extra cores anytime soon. If you want a performance increase, overclocking would probably be a better choice (I know you said you don't want to, but it's really worth considering given how well those things overclock).

Also these are minor comments, but if you don't need the power supply to be fully modular, this unit is of notably better quality for around the same price. You could also save a bit of money on a cheaper HDD and memory too.
