It's all speculation at this point. Traditionally x80 Ti has been below Titan, but it might not be in this case given that not even the existence of the card is confirmed.

780ti was above Titan OG

only with Double Precision and then they diver disabled the Double Precision when Titan X came out (:

how do you know?

maybe it'll slot above the TX ?

As of right now, it could be anything you dream it to be, I suppose. :P

In the past, the Titan has been the full, uncut GK110 or GM200, and the Ti card has been a cut-down version of that chip. I assume Nvidia would want to preserve their "Titan" brand as the absolute top of their lineup for marketing reasons.

Titan OG was cut down

TX is cut down

From Tesla products? I don't think that counts. My point is that Nvidia markets the "Titan" name as the top of the premium consumer GPU market. I don't think they'd put a "Ti" card above it within one generation, they'd just call that the Titan Y or something.

Titan OG was a cut down GK110, they released a full GK110 in 780ti and Big Black later

TX is a cut down GP102 - that's not even the biggest GP chip and it's still cut down

you're literally backwards rationalizing nVidia roadmap based on a single generation...

okay?

alright

Excellent use of semantics, but I was speaking of the x80ti. Which historically was a top tier card along side the Titan. Since that meant is removes sales from the Titan, there has to be competition in order for Nvidia to feel the need to lose Titan sales. AND since AMD can't compete at any level where a Pascal card is available, not sure how Nvidia is going to feel the need.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

historically for two generations (:

but yeah you're right, market will dictate the next move over there

but if I had to guess I'd say it depends on Vega launch - if Vega isn't really special - I think they will keep milking Pascal by delaying heavily, releasing the ti then delaying heavily again and then go for Volta

if Vega ir really cool then it depends on if Volta is really ready for production, since they already were talking about pushing Volta they will either drop the Ti for pretty cheap and then pump Volta ASAP or even skip the ti and go straight for Volta in the unlikely event ti is no competition to Vega
