Motherboard F9 Error. Onw or Two conponents dead?

Hiho,

 

I have sent my mother board back for RMA to Gigabyte. As it was showing A9 error and it wouldn't boot into Windows.

 

Sent it once, returned with F9 BIOS and I couldn't change anything in BIOS + CPU overvolted 1.351v STOCK. Noticed artifacts on screen when using HDMI. 

Updated BIOS to F10b and no bios access at all. Removed CMOS battery for 3 min, got A9 24/7.

 

Sent it back again, it came back and it booted one time, showed loads of white glitches on the screen. After restart I got A9 error 24/7 again.

 

I tried to take things out of the equation:

 

Tested two sets of motherboard cpu and atx 24 pin power cables. Both same result.

 

Took it all out of the case: mobo, power supply, ram and used space intel stock cooler. I did not plug anything else in and still a9.

 

Tested power supply it apparently works fine as tested in the nearby PC repair store.

 

I factored case into the equation but after making a bench outside of the case I'm having same issues.

 

I tried each stick of ram in 1st slot for RAM and same A9 error and sometimes restarting every 15 sec and looping twice through few first codes. I tried 4 sticks 8gb each. 

 

Digital port for some reason refused to work.

 

Is RAM the culprit? I can't really believe it Ince it was working OK for 2 years. 

 

Mobo GA-Z87 oc force

4x8GB corsair Vengeance 2400mhz ddr3

No gpu

 

CPU is brand new replaced by Intel themselves. 2 sticks of ram are kind of new 3 months old. Mobi is 2 years old. Power supply is 1000w corsair RM also 2 years old.

in your motherboard manual, what does a9 code indicate?

so quick google search, the a9 code indicates faulty graphics card usually, but you are not using a graphics card. Another obscure thread on the google kung fu indicates a possible HDD issue. Take and unplug your HDD/SSD from your board and see if you can boot into your BIOS.

ok, so a9 looks like a normal boot code, not an issue.

Yea but it stays on it no matter what I do.

That power supply fan is upside down....oh no....

So if you disconnect all of your drives and boot up and try and get into your BIOS, are you able too?

As you can see on the picture. Nothing is connected, only necessary things like power 1 stick of ram and cpu cooler. I connected 1 stick of ram to try to boot to anything and no it just goes to A9. 

 

At gigabyte RMA department it was working fine and they did nothing to it. That's why I don't know what is wrong.

To whoever might be interested on how to solve this case if it happens to them.

 

It was static. Which is weird since I had PCs in my room since ever and they worked. I took it to isolated place and it just straight booted up.
