Need some help on deciding

Cyrel

Hey guys, I got an old AMD Phenom II x4 925. OC'd to 3.5 GHz from 2.8 GHz, without any problems.

I was wondering if it's worth getting an Intel, also upgrade to DDR4 (rip budget) - i5 6600k, ASUS Z170 - some 2x8 16 GB DDR4 RAM

or, go with budget and get a FX-something CPU and OC it? I got a case that runs really, really cool.

If it's working without issues for you, then you probably don't need to upgrade.

If you do though, go with Intel.

I had this friend who bought an AMD processor once...

I went to go search for his house on Google Maps, and this is all I saw at his address..

Intel will be much better.

It will cost more, but there isn't any amd CPU that could compare with i5 6600k performance.

At the moment, AMD has nothing good to offer. That might change soon though with ZEN (hopefully).

If you are in need for an upgrade right now, Intel is the go-to.

If you can afford it, Intel. The 6600K (or 6500, or 6400, basically any i5) will kill any FX CPU in gaming workloads.

As long as you are not on a budget I would go for Intel over AMD anyday.

Intel. The best quadcore amd cpu i think is fx 4350. Which has only half the performance of intel 6600.

The i5-6600, not the classic Core 2 Quad Q6600. But the FX 4350 doesn't beat the Q6600 by much I'm sure.
