Which build is better for 1000$ first pc build

This is my first PC build and I would like to know which is better

note:I am building my first PC build and want to know which build is better, I understand how a PC works and understand how to build one due to me planning and watching builds on youtube for over 2 years, but I am not sure if I should start with a crossfire build due to the issues that crossfire brings to the table, I am looking for a smooth build and if you think I could change anything and still remain in my price point pls do recommend

The single 1070 will be better as multi-GPU's future is a bit foggy. Also use the 2 sticks of ram instead of the 1 for dual channel. Why not 16GB in a 2X8GB? The price difference is not very large at all. A nicer PSU also could be cool.

Main Gaming PC - i9 10850k @ 5GHz - EVGA XC Ultra 2080ti with Heatkiller 4 - Asrock Z490 Taichi - Corsair H115i - 32GB GSkill Ripjaws V 3600 CL16 OC'd to 3733 - HX850i - Samsung NVME 256GB SSD - Samsung 3.2TB PCIe 8x Enterprise NVMe - Toshiba 3TB 7200RPM HD - Lian Li Air

Proxmox Server - i7 8700k @ 4.5Ghz - 32GB EVGA 3000 CL15 OC'd to 3200 - Asus Strix Z370-E Gaming - Oracle F80 800GB Enterprise SSD, LSI SAS running 3 4TB and 2 6TB (Both Raid Z0), Samsung 840Pro 120GB - Phanteks Enthoo Pro

Super Server - i9 7980Xe @ 4.5GHz - 64GB 3200MHz Cl16 - Asrock X299 Professional - Nvidia Telsa K20 -Sandisk 512GB Enterprise SATA SSD, 128GB Seagate SATA SSD, 1.5TB WD Green (Over 9 years of power on time) - Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2

Laptop - 2019 Macbook Pro 16" - i7 - 16GB - 512GB - 5500M 8GB - Thermal Pads and Graphite Tape modded

Smart Phones - iPhone X - 64GB, AT&T, iOS 13.3 iPhone 6 : 16gb, AT&T, iOS 12 iPhone 4 : 16gb, AT&T Go Phone, iOS 7.1.1 Jailbroken. iPhone 3G : 8gb, AT&T Go Phone, iOS 4.2.1 Jailbroken.

If we're just talking about crossfire vs. a single card, it depends on the games you're playing. In an ideal scenario, the two RX 480s will yield better performance than a single GTX 1070, but this ideal scenario doesn't happen very often outside of benchmarks. This is why it's usually better to get one powerful card instead of two entry-level cards. There's also less power consumption, heat, and other things that affect your build by using only one card.

I'd get the 1070 bc the rx 480's will kick out a lot of heat and be louder

Definitely go with the best single card you can afford. This way you have high performance in all games versus only in games that the developers decide to do more than a half-assed attempt at a crossfire profile.

I almost forgot that it is up to the developer's whether or no the support/recommend crossfire in their games

Just get the 16GB at the start and you will never really have to deal with it again.

I like EVGA as a company and I do believe their higher end ones are of good quality. Corsair are also good and so are SeaSonic.

Other than the GPUs, they look very similar, it seems you just adjusted a bit here or there to stay in budget. I share the previous opinions: better 2x8GB or 2x4GB today, than 1x8GB becaus eyou may buy more later (if you don't need 16, don't buy later; if you do, factor that in the budget today). 5400rpm vs 7200rpm shouldn't matter much, except this seems to be your OS drive, so it may be better to go for 7200rpm in this case. Honestly, I would go with single RX480 or single 1060 if that allows you to add 128 or 256 SSD for the OS, but maybe I'm not gamer enough :P

And my general advice for GPUs is to take SLI or CrossFireX as a potential for a cheap upgrade in the future, if you can actually get your hands on a second card for little $ once your card starts to fall behind (cheap meaning it beats selling your card and buying a newer/higher end single card at that time), not really as a plan from the beginning (unless you already have the top card and for some reason that's not enough in your case, or you are building a mining rig or something).

The EVGA NEX is mediocre and overpriced, but the PSU's the OP is choosing are much worse.

Get an EVGA G2, B2, GS, GQ, P2, Anything from Seasonic or XFX (excluding the XT), Corsair RMi, RMx, HXi, AXi and Antec High Current series instead.

Corsair PSUs are of varying quality, the VS is utter garbage and the SF, AXi and RMi/x/HXi are amazing.

It's actually the cheapest of the 650W gold PSU's that are name brand. I wouldn't call that overpriced.

I said 650W and I stand by it. Rosewill? Really? I don't trust them for a minute. Those two are also after rebate and not everyone enjoys rebates.

For that budged 2 row 480's or 1 1070 is possible. but than the gpu and cpu are overkill and the other parts are decent. so i like to have all parts balanced. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Wolfiowww/saved/m8znTW That is my build for 1100 dollar (maybe less) its a build and this build is PRO for overclocking. if you want you can get a aircooler to spare some money the cryorig h7 its good for overclocking too but not as good as this build is.
