750ti or 7870?

I am looking to upgrade my current gpu msi geforce gtx 750 ti but dont know if I should hold out for a better card.

I have a amd fx8350 32gb ddr3 ram M5A99fx pro 2.0 MB with a Geforce GTX 750ti gpu

 

My main use for my rig is editing, streaming console & pc games and im able to get 720p 60fps easily after rendering but to get a extra bump in quality I found a amd 7870 for 150$ and was wondering if its going to give me a good increase or if I should save more... thoughts?

Save more and go 1060.

7870+8350 would be a nightmare on your PSU.

that gpu is not worth it to get, if you are wanting to spend 150 , then there is a 380x on newegg brand new for  150. otherwise dont waste your time on that overpriced junk. or go for 470 or 480 or 1060.

the 7870 is a really nice card. i have a sapphire one and its great runs at 65c max when my 290x lightning is folding right next to it . you should be able to get a better gpu for that price point though.

7870.  But.... its really old now. I'd save up for the 1060. At worst get the 470. At absolute worst!

If you get the 7870 for 50-75 bucks or so, sure go for it.

But 150 dollar is a complete RIPOFF. The card is NOT worth this. Not even NEW.

A 120-130 Dollar RX 460 should have similar performance. Should be a bit better as 4gb version.

And your GTX 750 ti is just slightly slower.

 

But i would rather go for a RX 470 4gb~ Costs 220$~, and has more than DOUBLE the Performance of the 7870, and double Vram.

SO yea. RX 470 4gb is the MINIMUM that wil lbe worth an Upgrade.

And future DX12 will also remove your CPU Limit quite a bit.
