the founder dedition card needs to be replace with something cheaper(evga) and the ram is overkill just get 2666mhz of ram. you could try for a cheaper ssd.

the rest is fine.

Yeah there is not much I would want to change about that build, it looks pretty stellar. But, you could find a slightly cheaper mobo and case. Or omit the SSD and get it later... Or go for an i5 instead...

But anyway, about the 1440 monitor.

I have this exact one right here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/QNIX-QX2710-LED-Evolution-ll-Matte-27-2560x1440-SAMSUNG-PLS-Panel-PC-Monitor-/130933173797?hash=item1e7c39ae25:g:ZSoAAMXQDfdRtY7e), and I it is a great deal at $200. Mine looks great playing Witcher 3 and anything else really. No issues so far except there is no DisplayPort input.

Something other than a Founder's Edition card,  otherwise it's fine.

Yeah, as long as you don't mind a maximum of 60 hz which is as high as that panel will go. 8ms is plenty low enough for 60 FPS.

Not much else you can find that's better for that price.
