Arma 3 with i5 4460 and r9380x

So my plan for a pc build is an i5 4460 and a r9380x. I am not sure if the 4460 will be enough though? Can someone tell me if it will run well? Arma is very cou intensive and im kindof hoping maybe someone with these same pc spec could let me know.

are you buying these parts new or used? Because if you are buying new that would be a waste.

Arma 3 is REALLY hard on any system. I'd compare it to crysis on how well it runs (arma is way more taxing on the CPU tho).

Um... I can run ARMA on an i3 and GTX 760. 1080p running on a 1600p monitor. constant 60-70 fps with dips into the 40s. I get some stuttering but I'm 99% sure that its a storage speed issue since its when I'm transitioning between scenes.

On low? And what missions? Single player with no NPC's around?

Medium and low on single player. Anything with a lot of fragmentation brings frame rates down but it seems to run fine otherwise.

Try a populated server with lots of objects and shit going down. Look at my specs (kill me) I get 100 fps in certain single player parts and in small multiplayer maps with not a lot of objects (gun game servers), but when I get to the juicy stuff like king of the hill i am lucky to get 25 FPS

Spend the extra $15 on the i5-4590. It's 300 MHz faster in gaming loads, and Arma III wants all the clockspeed it can get.

Your system should run fine on multiplayer. I was proving a point to the other poster.
