I currently have a i5 3570k overclocked to 4,4 GHz, 16GB of DDR3 and a MSI GTX 750Ti OC and

I was thinking that I would want utilize my PC better for gaming and am simply wondering which way to go.

The GTX 970 or the GTX 1060? I'm aware that the 1060 is the better, and newer, choice but it also costs more,

is the difference worth it? For how long do you think the 970 will be able to run desirably in new games?

Will my current 430W PSU be sufficient for either or do I have to get like a 600W one?

I'm aiming to be running games in 1080p and preferably at a smooth 60fps, for now anyway.

Anyone? I'm grateful for all thoughts and suggestions..

upgrade to 600watts or 700 now

Why buy a 5 year old GPU?

That's a stupid waste of money...

OP look for a 480 or 1060 when they are in stock and prices go down.

Well even though there 5 years old they are still good for budget builds, they are pretty much identical to a r9 380

There are many reasons why you should not buy outdated hardware rather than new hardware.

First of all, new hardware can get you the same performance for about the same or less price.

Second, new hardware is far more efficient, so less power consumption (no need to buy new PSU) less noise and lower temps (for more overclocking).

Third, used AMD cards have likely been used for mining and should be avoided at all cost.

Fourth, newer cards get more driver optimization and performance boosts.

Fifth, newer cards will have longer driver support, since they were released recently. This means less issues in the future when your OS updates and stuff stops working on decade old hardware.

Those circumstances existed since the begining of computers, buying used is a GREAT alternative since where i live a 970 is $600 cheapest, and i simply can't put that kind of money in that kind of GPU since it's just not worth it...hope you understand the US is not the only country on the planet, but the US sure as hell is lucky since people from the US complain about making $200 a week, where i live its $200 a month + rent + food + clothes

sixth -> GCN 1 has terrible Tesselation performance, equal or worse then Fermi infact. And as such will suck balls in crapworks titles.
