100 EUR Ultra-Budget build

Hello there.

So my dad's friend came to me regarding replacing his home PC, because he thought it was about time to replace his old build. Yeah, I think he should do that, yes.

The only problem is that he is a person in his 50s and uses his PC only for very limited things such as forums, news sites and youtube. It is the sort of budget build that I've no clue how to set up, because our perception of ''budget build'' is so different. We are looking at around 100-120 eur here and probably AMD orientated material as I can get those parts cheaper due to reasons. I am looking into A6 APUs right now, but I am open to ideas. He is running a 1440x900 monitor. His HDDs, case and peripherals are also salvagable. So is, possibly, the PSU, unless it has the old connectors. So we are left with:

CPU / APU

Motherboard

RAM

Any suggestions?

I am currently looking at a similar build to my work PC, though it has troubles with 1080 youtube videos at times.

AMD Athlon 5370 AM1 (45 Eur)

Asrock AM1B-M (25 Eur)

2X Crucial 2GB CL11 DDR3-1600 (2x 8 Eur)

(optional) Chieftec GPA-350S8 350W (25Eur)

Pick up a used Dell tower on craigslist or something similar, you'll have much better results.

I do not live in the US and buying used parts here is not really the best idea.

Go to your local scrapyard and look for usable parts. Usually, those guys will give them to you for free. If you really want to buy brand new, you could buy an AsRok QC5000M, it has an A4 quad core CPU and doesn't need to be cooled actively.

It doesn't seem like my source has a QC5000M in stock, sadly.

Buy used or buy nothing.

Buy an old Dell or HP with a Core2 Duo and 4GB of RAM, they'll cost about 40euros.

Pick him up one of these http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-Cambio-10.1-2-in-1-Tablet-32GB-Intel-Atom-Z3735F-Quad-Core-Processor-Windows-10/45804385?a

They work pretty well, are portable, and are complete solutions. It has a mini hdmi input to connect to a monitor.

Tablets are not his thing, I already suggested that option before.

He needs a desktop, otherwise I would have already given him my old lappy. And no, hooking it up to a monitor and giving it a separate keyboard wasn't an option either, heh.

If you gave him one and hid the tablet inside of a desktop tower he wouldn't know the difference.
