HTC One M8 not allowing certain Snapchat features

Ok.  So.  I'm pretty new to the Android software game, so this may be a pretty easy fix, but its something that's been bothering me for awhile.  I have an HTC one M8, with 6.20 Android Marshmallow operating system.  There is no launcher on it, just the normal HTC.  The problem I'm having is with the moving emoji feature on Snapchat video.  The update has supposedly been out for Android devices since April, however it just doesn't work on my phone, despite my phone being updated, as well as the app.  And I wouldn't think my phone is too outdated.  It's only 2 years old.  Like I said this is probably a very petty/small scale problem, but idk what to do.  Ive tried all the ways the emoji feature is supposed to work (tap, hold, etc.) yet it still doesn't work.  If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes certain versions of apps are just incompatible with devices for some reason.

I recommend that you try out and install some of the apks of different versions of the app.

Since you said you are new to Android apps, I recommend apkmirror.com because many of their APKs are signed by the actual developers.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.
