seeing you build, why wouldn't you overclock?

I will try my best to overclock but I'm not sure if my cooler is fit to get a worthwhile oc

i7 6700k will start bottlenecking when you have 1080s in SLI.

For single card ... no bottleneck at all. Not even close!

It's the best CPU for gaming.

6 cores and more are useless in most games, so i7 6700k is right now the best idea for gaming CPU :)

I'm not calling out anyone in particular, but I think a lot of people have an inaccurate view of how this happens on high-end machines. Of course there are situations where an i7-6700K will bottleneck gaming performance. There is no CPU you can buy, at any price, that is 100% immune to bottlenecking a high-end video card in all situations.

That doesn't mean the i7-6700K is the wrong choice, though. You can't do much better in a gaming system than a 6700K. I'm just saying no one can promise it will never bottleneck a video card without first being given a lot of specifics.

No i7-6700k do not bottleneck even GTX 1080.

Yes it will. In some graphic CPU demanding areas in the most CPU heavy games, there will be a slight bottleneck with a gtx 1080. It will be so little that its not noticeable, but its there.

Thats why im a little bit afraid of what will happen when we get 1080Ti and so on.

It has 4 cores and hyperthreading making it 4 cores 8 threads.  Not 6 cores.

Kaby lake my friend ;)

To RGB, or not to RGB? That is the question.

Kaby lake is said to be only a minor improvement gaming wise over the Skylake. With the cpu evolving the last 5-6 years, i highly doubt we will see any monsterous gaming performance in kaby lake in comparison ;)
