How do I play or experience VR with my stuff?

So I have a phone, a VR headset and a stereoscopic video, something like this. How the hell do I experience VR now?

Have you not read? I have a VR headset. How do I input all my variables. Like, do I need to get an app that plays? And I don't get how the video will allow me to like look around.

I believe mobile YouTube has a option for VR on some videos. 

It uses the gyroscope on your phone

I'm pretty sure you're not able to use that for VR. 

How it works (well what I think) is that it's a 360 degree video that you can see a potion at a time, and when you move your head that tells the gyroscope on your phone where to pan the video to.

I see. But some VR videos have the stereoscopic format... that's what I don't seem to understand.

You mean two "streams" shoehorned in as one picture but 2 sections?

thats because both streams are a bit different perspective wise and your eyes can fill in the detail for it to look like it's real and not just a 2D image with some optical illusions.

Now is there some way to combine the to? 360 or 280 with 3D (stereoscopic)

You have to get an app that either plays 2D video in stereo, not VR. Or it plays 360/180 videos in VR. The one for Iphone is Homido
