Remove black bars, CSGO

Ive been searching everywhere on the internet to make my new 1080p monitor not force itself into black bars, everytime i change the resolution to 4:3 it has black bars. I have an AMD card with AMDs newest drivers/ crimson drivers and there are no solid videos on Youtube or posts on the internet that can help me with this problem. Please help and thanks!

I found that only certain 4:3 resolutions gave the black bars while others were stretched.

While I don't know what it's like on Amd, there's probably a menu similar to this in your driver settings.

nah, I mean you can make it stretched using the driver like this
 just select scale to full size or something like that

for me it doesnt show image scaling preferences in that first picture for some reason

ive copied that exactly and still no difference, maybe its because i have a dvi cable?

IDK why would you go from 16:9 to 4:3 but ok

Go into the CS:GO launch options and try -novid

No. All can be stretched or be used with black bars.

Less distracting with black bars and stretched stretches the player models, making them easier to aim at.

However, your FOV is less and although they may be wider, they also move faster on screen.

Not really sure what you are going on about with the models moving faster. Not really the case. And FOV is only a problem is extreme circumstances and if you have good crosshairs placement you should be fine, with the benignity outweighing the negatives.

I play 4:3 myself, and I think the FOV is 77 versus 90, or something like that. It's around those numbers.
I like it for the reason Barbacoa said; less to focus on/get distracted by. It makes it easier, for me, to keep an eye on my radar.

Yeah I like it like it like that. I play 1440x1080 so it is literally 1080p chopped off to 4:3
