Everything in this system look compatible?

Arty

PC part picker has a compatibility checker.

Yes it'll all work together but as PCPP says:

  • The NZXT Source 220 ATX Mid Tower Case supports video cards up to 330mm long, but video cards over 230mm may block drive bays. Since the MSI GeForce GTX 950 2GB Video Card is 254mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.

It won't be more reliable, your paying for features you won't need.

That moment you choose a more expensive mobo than CPU.

Needs money for car parts :P

This MB (for example) will last as much as that one, a MB won't break down that easily, you're just paying for more slots and other things you probably won't use in the future

Then yeah shouldn't have a problem if you do need to use a bay seeing as you're not using them :)

If it's the slots and ports you'll use, it's fine

Welp, that's a ~75$ difference compared to the previous build, you might be able to

-Swap to i5

or

-Get a better GPU

It does look much better, but maybe with the money you just saved you could get an Nvidia 960, that way your gpu wont bottleneck your cpu in some applications.

im debating even getting a gpu atm probbly don't need it.........

Well what are you going to be doing? If you don't even need a gpu then odds are you also wont need an I3 and the pentium will do just fine.

basic system use,  and light rendering.

i have a i3 2130 atm, and it meets my needs, but barely, just looking for a new i3 which should be enough.

In that case you can get an AMD processor and they render better, and do everyday things better, but they're worse for gaming. (ugh I regret buying one for my gaming rig)
