I almost want to say that the Phanteks is worth it for the better fans alone. That said...

The difference is near-nil until the Prime95 overclock test, where the Phanteks randomly (and seemingly magically) pulls ahead by 20C. I'm almost inclined to wonder if that was some outside variable in play. Dual fans don't account for that much on a single-tower heatsink.

I'd be conflicted. The Phanteks cooler is undoubtedly better, with better fans than the 212 EVO's single fan, but it has some build quality issues per that review, and I really don't know if I trust that magical load temp at the end.

Honestly, if you've got $50 to drop on a cooler, I'd just pick up the Cryorig H5 Ultimate instead, assuming it fits your case and you can find it. It performs well and look great.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
