Twitch freezing every so often

For the past week whenever I watch twitch streams after the first 15 mins or so the stream freezes with a buffering icon. This happens with every streamer I watch. The stream stops out of no where and it won't continue from the buffering icon until I refresh the page. After that everything is good until it happens again after a random amount of time. I opened a new tab directly after it froze and the site still loaded. So whether or not that eliminates the possibility of a network throttle/hiccup I do not know. I watch all my streams on source because I can (29 mbs down, 27 mbs up, 17 ping). If anyone has any ideas at all then that would be great.
