Expect to see performance similar to a processor in between an i5-4690 and an i7-4790.
LGA2011v3 Xeons support DDR3. This particular Xeon is LGA2011, a DDR3 platform.

Alright. But I don't think I'm going to go for it. I would save money.  But like stconquest said, the motherboards are expensive. So I might not go for one. But thanks anyway.

Don't do that.  It is not for you.  Motherboards are expensive.

This is $285... the rest goes into the GPU.  Try for a RX 480 or a GTX 1060.  A $200 GTX 970 is worth doing as well, if you are in a rush.  RX 480 prices and GTX 1060 prices will take some time to "normalize".

I've got a lot of builds I'm looking at right now. So I am having a hard time choosing between them. But thank you for your suggestion.
